Our trial lessons are offered at our bases in Cardiff and Welshpool and can be taken in the R22, R44 or jet ranger aircraft. The trial lessons all start with a half hour briefing from a fully qualified instructor where they will explain to you the principals of helicopter flight and show you the various components around the aircraft. You will then be sat in the helicopter and will take off for a flight around the local area. Your instructor will show you each of the controls and give you an opportunity to take control of the aircraft.
Any time flown within the aircraft can be used towards the total hours required to gain a private pilot’s licence.
