Hover was established in 2016 following the re-opening of Cardiff City Heliport. The company, along with its partner, Whizzard helicopters have over 10 years' experience in the helicopter industry, including charter of single and twin engine aircraft, experience flights, training and utility work across the whole of the UK and Spain. Hovers founder is a Private Helicopter Pilot himself who trained with Whizzard from their headquarters in Welshpool in 2008 and now wants to make helicopter flight more accessible in Wales' Capital.
Hover are head quartered in Cardiff City Heliport with a secondary base in Welshpool, Mid Wales where all our services are available, but we can aid with any aspect of helicopter service across the whole of the UK.
In addition to the two main bases we also offer our helicopter experience flights from temporary bases in Snowdonia, Liverpool and Manchester at various dates throughout the year, giving you the perfect opportunity to experience a helicopter flight over your home, nearest city, football stadium or some of the most breath-taking scenery in the UK, if not the world.
Our aim is to provide you with the best service possible, be it experiencing helicopter flight for the first time, learning to fly, traveling to your wedding, making an entrance to an event or using our services to get to that all important meeting.
Most our flights are undertaken by our partners Whizzard Helicopters under Aircraft Operator Certificate number GB2284; however, a number may be undertaken by other CAA approved operators, details of which will be provided prior to any flight.
Keep up to date with what we are doing on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
Cardiff City Heliport
Cardiff City Heliport is possibly the best facility of its kind in the UK, built for the sole purpose of helicopter operations, and located only a couple of miles from the centre of Cardiff. It provides the perfect gateway to the city’s numerous major events held throughout the year, including the RBS 6 Nations Rugby tournament, UEFA Champions League Final 2017 and various big name artists’ concerts. The facility is open 7 days a week and is managed by an experienced team offering re-fuelling, hangarage and passenger services to operators based at the heliport including Hover Helicopters, The Wales Air Ambulance and numerous visiting aircraft.
Being located at the heliport gives us a great opportunity to provide our services to the people and businesses of South Wales from a facility built for the job!
